This little amp meter seems useless to some, since many multimeters on the market can read and display amperage. But this device makes it simple and a great diagnostics tool for simple amperage reads without the hassle. My application is to test a device my company installs where we want to monitor the amperage consumption to make sure it’s within compliance. Works well (Recommended)

I was very pleased to discover that these existed, and ordered both sizes of the 30 amp version. On reading the instruction sheet, I discovered a nasty limitation of these devices. According to the instructions you cannot operate them for more than 10 seconds or they will self-destruct. That may be cool on Mission Impossible, but it isn’t worth much for trying to troubleshoot an intermittent issue. Perhaps you have an application where that is not a problem, but it makes them fairly useless for me.
